Congratulations to our very own Malaysian football club, PJ City for launching their new Home and Away kit for 2020.
Our team, fondly known as the Phoenix, will be donning the new sky blue jersey at their home game venue MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya in Selangor and a vibrant red during their away games. The new kit designed by Puma is inspired by the hexagon patterns on a football.
PJ City FC is hoping to compete for major honours in the upcoming season of the Super League, Malaysia Cup and other domestic cup outings this season. They will kick-off the new Super League season with an away game against Felda United on March 1, followed by the first home match against Pahang on March 6.
The Club made its debut in the Malaysian Super League in 2019 and finished a respectable eighth. With an infusion of newer, younger players, the Club is looking forward to a better season ahead.
The team has retained only eight players from the previous season and has brought in seasoned campaigners like midfielders K. Gurusamy and D. Christie Jayaseelan, defenders Mahali Jasuli and Muhamad Syazwan Zaipol Bahari as well as several young players including forward R. Kogileswaran and goalkeeper Damien Lim.
Fans of PJ City FC can start purchasing the team’s new jersey during their first home game on March 6. Lucky spectators also stand a chance to win a Yamaha Y15 and a Honda DASH motorbike during the first home game and a motorbike in the rest of the home games at Kelana Jaya Stadium.
