Corporate Social Responsibility

At QI, CSR is more than just a marketing term and the act of ‘giving’ goes beyond the mere signing of a cheque. With the concept of Raise Yourself To Help Mankind (RYTHM) being the guiding principle in all that we do, we have embarked on various initiatives to make a difference in the communities in which we operate.

A very important part of our CSR involves environmental conservation. We have a green company policy in all our global offices that emphasises recycling, saving energy and going paperless, among other strict environmental-friendly practices. We also own the 15-storey QI Tower in Malaysia, which is a green building that is off the water grid, and the luxurious Prana Resort in Koh Samui, which harnesses solar power for electricity.

QI has also established two Foundations to carry out its charitable endeavours around the world. RYTHM Foundation serves as the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm and carries out all global CSR initiatives under the Group, while Vijayaratnam Foundation was set up by Executive Chairman Vijay Eswaran, to fulfill the noble mission of RYTHM Foundation in Malaysia. Under the auspices of Vijayaratnam Foundation, we have also established Taarana, a school for children with special learning needs. Located in Malaysia, the school through its highly trained teachers and specialised curriculum, is making a difference in many young lives.

QI is a member of the Business Council for Sustainability and Responsibility Malaysia (BCSRM) and Singapore Compact. Our contribution to the global community has also been recognised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Services through the Caring Company Award.
