Over 40 heads of state and government, as well as 2,500 leaders from business and society convened at the 46th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, from 20 to 23 January in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, under the theme, Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Critical current challenges, such as security, climate change and “new normal” global growth and commodity prices, were among the issues on the agenda.

Participants included more than 1,500 business leaders from the Forum’s 1,000 Member companies; nearly 300 public figures and Members of the Forum communities, including Social Entrepreneurs, Global Shapers, Young Global Leaders and Technology Pioneers.

Taking an influential role in shaping the discussion at the Annual Meeting 2016 was our very own QI Group Executive Chairman Dato Sri Vijay Eswaran who spoke on the topic of “Building Mindful Organisations.”

During a lively session on his topic, Dato Sri Vijay spoke about how the QI Group includes mindfulness in the everyday corporate world. He also spoke about the founding principles of QI (truth, service above self, care).

This prestigious WEF event is held once a year in Davos where all leaders of the world converge to discuss future policy making and innovation. Dato Sri Vijay, the only private company participant from Malaysia, was invited as a Member to the “Advisory Board of Global Growth Companies.”

The Board’s main topic this year was Hypergrowth and case studies on how corporations have dealt with it. Dato Sri Vijay was a contributing member to the discussion where he showcased how the QI group has managed exponential growth in specific markets regions over the years.
