The QI Group was a Strategic Partner of the National Forum on Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2019 with the theme, ‘Reimagining Sustainability & Strengthening Partnership”, held today at the Malaysian Parliament House.
A delegation led by our Director of Human Resources and Administration, Boey Kho represented the QI Group to show our commitment as a multinational global conglomerate towards sustainable development for a better future.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) adopted on 25 September 2015 by 193 countries is a follow up to the Millennium Development Goals, and are bringing together stakeholders from various sectors to achieve sustainable development by exploring synergies between sustainability and inclusivity.
The forum took a look at how the SDGs as a global agenda may serve as a reference framework that can support Parliamentarians, companies and civil society organisations in improving their engagement and work together in partnership to contribute towards sustainable development.
With a special focus on sustainability, best practices within organisations and best ways to implement change, the forum saw speakers and partners sharing insights on interweaving sustainability practices within their organisations, navigating change, impacts they are making and how the convergence of corporate resources are the key in achieving sustainable development goals.
Held in conjunction with the first anniversary of the 14th Parliament of Malaysia, the forum is jointly organised by the Malaysian Parliament and Kingsley Strategic Institute, in associations with the Malaysian CSO-DSG Alliance – a partner in the national SDG steering committee and the United Nations Malaysia.
