As part of our mission to expand our global footprint and champion sustainable business practices, Jean Francois Huertas, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of QNET, proudly represented the QI Group at two prestigious international forums: the World Economic Forum (WEF) Country Strategy Meeting in Argentina and the Horasis Global Meeting in Brazil.

Shaping Argentina’s Economic Future at WEF
Held in Buenos Aires on October 22–23, 2024, the WEF Country Strategy Meeting convened private sector leaders and Argentina’s administration under President Javier Milei. The discussions centred on unlocking Argentina’s potential in energy and mineral production, leveraging its skilled workforce, and fostering economic dynamism—critical themes for the country’s transformation into a resilient economy.

These conversations resonate with the QI Group’s focus on driving innovation and economic opportunities in emerging markets. With Argentina poised as a major Latin American player, its agenda to modernize state operations and cultivate a business-friendly environment aligns seamlessly with our vision of sustainable growth and empowerment through entrepreneurship.

Connecting People and Opportunities at Horasis
Following his WEF participation, Jean Francois addressed the ninth Horasis Global Meeting in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil. Under the theme “Building Bridges to the Future,” this gathering brought together 450 global delegates to explore strategies for fostering collaboration and addressing global challenges.

As a panelist in the session “Bridges to Shared Humanity,” Jean Francois highlighted the role of businesses in solving pressing global issues by embracing meaningful impact and universal values. The dialogue tackled critical topics such as climate change, inequality, and global peace—issues deeply embedded in QI Group’s sustainability agenda.

Advancing Collaborative and Sustainable Solutions
Both forums underscored the importance of ethical business practices, sustainable development, and human-centred innovation. At Horasis, participants emphasized that shaping the future requires more than technical solutions; it demands a collective commitment to responsible, virtue-driven leadership.

These discussions reaffirm our position as a global corporate citizen dedicated to building bridges between communities, cultures, and opportunities. As we expand our presence in Latin America and beyond, the insights gained from these events will guide our efforts to drive sustainable impact and innovation across all our business operations.

As a proud member of the World Economic Forum and Horasis communities, we continue to play an active role in shaping global business dialogue and fostering international cooperation. Our engagement with these prestigious organisations underscores our commitment to driving positive change in the evolving global economy and societal development landscape.
