The QI Tower in Malaysia was graced by the presence of His Royal Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, the Crown Prince of the state of Selangor recently.  His Royal Highness was hosted by our Executive Chairman, Vijay Eswaran and the Board of Directors.

This meeting saw the coming together of the ‘Red Giants’ Selangor FA and the ‘Phoenix’ PJ City Football Club to improve and enable a better environment for the development of football in Selangor State.  Discussions included ideas that focused on identifying and developing talent from a young age from primary school level to raise the calibre of football state-wide.  Both parties agreed on the need to have more Malaysian players in the teams and brainstormed ideas to entice more fans in Selangor to come out and support their teams as we slowly but cautiously come out of this Covid-19 phase.

Also present at the meeting were the Deputy President of the Football Association of Malaysia, Dato Sri Subahan Kamal, Football Association of Selangor Secretary General, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon and other key officials from both Selangor FA and PJ City FC.  They also discussed some broad parameters on how to work together on developing and upgrading the MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya as a joint-venture project.

It was a successful meeting that reflected a meeting of the minds.  More such collaboration meetings between Selangor FA and PJ City FC will take place towards this common mission.
