Taarana, which means awakening in Sanskrit embodies the true spirit of RYTHM. Taarana is a centre for children with special learning needs established and managed by Vijayaratnam Foundation. Taarana provides quality education facilities for young children between the ages of 6 and 12, who face challenges with delayed development in academic, social and adaptive skills, otherwise known as Mild Intellectual Disability (MID).

Taarana is the only centre of its kind in Malaysia and aims to empower these children with the tools, skills andabilities to function and cope with modern society. Taarana opened its doors to the first set of students in June 2011 and within a year had more than 30 kids with MID such as ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Down Syndrome, Learning Disability, Sensory-Integration Disorder, Speech Impairment, Global Development Delay, Impulsive Behaviour, Mild Intellectual Impairment and Mild Autism Spectrum Syndrome.
