The QI Group is proud to celebrate another milestone in sustainability as Quest International University (QIU), our educational initiative, has been honoured with the Green University of the Year award at the ICSG Global Sustainability Awards 2025!

This prestigious recognition, selected from over 200 international entries, positions QIU among the world’s leading institutions in sustainable innovation, reaffirming our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

At the award ceremony in Colombo, Sri Lanka, QIU’s Chief Operating Officer, Nicholas Goh, proudly accepted this distinguished honour. Adding to the university’s achievements, he was also presented with the Global Sustainability Lifetime Special Achievement Award—a testament to QIU’s lasting impact on sustainability and education.

These awards celebrate organisations making significant contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and further reinforce our dedication as a United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) partner.

QIU’s winning submission highlighted its pioneering efforts in environmental research, green education, and community-driven conservation. From groundbreaking research in bamboo-based carbon reduction to innovative eco-brick solutions for plastic waste management, the university’s initiatives showcase a holistic approach to creating a greener, more sustainable future.

Beyond research, QIU actively engages with the community through impactful projects such as Treevolution@QIU and comprehensive sustainability education programmes, ensuring that sustainability is woven into every aspect of learning and daily life.
