QI Group has submitted its 2026 United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Communication on Progress (CoP), reaffirming its commitment to responsible business and the Ten Principles of the UNGC.
The CoP is the UNGC’s annual reporting mechanism for participating companies. It provides a transparent account of how businesses are advancing responsible practices across human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Covering QI Group and its subsidiaries from January 2025 to June 2026, the latest submission outlines the Group’s progress in strengthening sustainability governance, integrating Environmental, Social and Governance considerations across its operations and building greater accountability throughout the organisation.
How Is QI Group Strengthening ESG Governance?
During the reporting period, QI Group continued to strengthen the policies, structures, and internal capabilities that support its sustainability agenda.
Key developments included:
• Strengthening the Group’s Sustainability Governance Committee and cross-functional ESG governance
• Advancing the Sustainability Policy, Human Rights Policy and Supplier Code of Business Conduct
• Launching Project SEED to integrate ESG considerations into procurement, supplier engagement, product development, merchandise and event reviews
• Expanding supplier engagement through the UN Global Compact Malaysia & Brunei RANTAiX Programme
• Building employee awareness through ESG learning, capability development and cross-functional engagement
These initiatives support the continued integration of sustainability into QI Group’s governance, business processes and operational decision-making.

How Is QI Group Working with Sustainability Partners?
Collaboration remained an important part of QI Group’s approach during the reporting period. The Group expanded the QI Tower Aspen Recycling Initiative with Aspen Recycling and SustainHub, strengthening recycling activities and environmental data tracking.
QI Group also advanced circular economy and waste reduction efforts through its work with Control Union Malaysia, Penang Green Council, Kita Refill and other sustainability partners.
At the global level, QI Group joined the World Economic Forum’s Chief Sustainability Officers Community, supporting knowledge exchange and collaboration on responsible business practices.
These partnerships reflect the Group’s belief that meaningful sustainability progress requires shared expertise, coordinated action and long-term engagement.
What Are QI Group’s Sustainability Priorities?
QI Group will continue strengthening its approach to ESG governance, responsible supply chains, human rights, environmental stewardship and stakeholder engagement.
By the end of 2026, the Group aims to finalise and seek Board endorsement for its Sustainability Strategic Blueprint. Anchored by QI Group’s People, Planet and Principles, or 3Ps, Framework and a five-year Sustainability Roadmap, the blueprint will guide the Group’s long-term sustainability priorities and ambitions.
The 2026 CoP represents another step in QI Group’s commitment to transparency, accountability and continuous improvement across its global operations.
