“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do make a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” Jane Goodall

RYTHM Foundation, the QI Group’s social impact initiative, is often referred to as the heartbeat of the company. Through the Foundation, we invest in the communities we operate in, by supporting community development initiatives, employee volunteering programmes, and partnerships with grassroots organisations.

As the QI Group celebrates its 25th year, the Foundation is commemorating this milestone year with the theme ‘Be the Impact’.  It is a call to every one of us to make a difference wherever we are, in whatever way possible. This mission to encourage individuals to drive positive change in the world doesn’t require abundant money or resources. It requires us to have determination and heart.

To encourage us to #BeTheImpact in our daily lives, RYTHM Foundation has launched RYTHM Connect, a podcast, now streaming on Spotify, Apple, and Google Podcasts. The podcast, hosted by RYTHM Foundation’s Chairperson Umayal Eswaran, strives to showcase stories and conversations with ordinary individuals from around the world, who have made an extraordinary impact in their communities through sheer grit and determination.

In the first episode, RYTHM Connect brings listeners the story of former Olympic windsurfer and environmental activist Amara Wichithong who shares her remarkable journey from a trash picker at age 13 to becoming a world champion. Her story of resilience and determination in the face of formidable odds is both moving and inspiring.

Tune in to RYTHM Connect Podcast and let the conversations begin!
