The QI Group is pleased to announce that its direct selling subsidiary QNET, will continue its partnership with the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) for the next three years (2021-2023). QI Group Managing Director, Mr. Kuna Senathirajah gave the commitment to MHC President, Dato Sri Subahan Kamal at a sponsorship pledge recently.

Through this partnership, which started in 2015, the company hopes to help facilitate the Malaysian Hockey team’s participation and the organization of various domestic and international tournaments. This will include the Asian Champions Trophy to be held in Bangladesh this year.

Kuna pointed out that QI Group and QNET have been big supporters of Malaysian sports, namely badminton, motor racing, hockey and football over the years, noting that PJ City Football Club which is owned by the Group is a contribution by QI for the future development of youth and sports in Malaysia.

“Over the years, QNET has partnered with several prominent sporting names because we believe that the drive, passion and teamwork in sports mirror that of our business values and are vital to the progression of people and communities. Our current international and local partnerships like Manchester City Football Club (MCFC) and MHC are proofs of our support towards community building and making social impact via sports,” noted Mr. Kuna.

Meanwhile, Dato Sri Subahan said MHC is honoured and grateful to QNET for the continued sponsorship which will undoubtedly help further in the development of hockey, adding that Malaysia, which is currently ranked 11th in the world, are all geared to get into the top ten bracket soon.
