Marking their third consecutive appearance in the Malaysia Super League in 2021, our home-grown sports team, PJ City FC announced their all-Malaysian team line up today at a press conference.

In what is reputed to be a first by a Super League team, with this completely Made-in-Malaysia player line-up, PJ City FC is entering a new exciting era, both on and off the pitch, in a bid to make the vision of the club owner, QI Group Executive Chairman Dato’ Sri Vijay Eswaran, a reality.

“It is time to rekindle the glory days of Malaysian football. The time is definitely now and it will start with PJ City FC. I take pride in having lived through the ‘70s and ‘80s when the standard of Malaysian football was at its glorious best with just our local players. It is time we give our locals a chance to prove their worth and not depriving them the opportunity,” said Dato’ Sri Vijay.

Let’s hear it from the man himself on why going all-Malaysian is the way forward for PJ City FC:

To date, 22 players have signed their new contract with PJ City FC, including 16 players who were retained from last season’s squad.

Club President, Dato’ Sri Subahan Kamal said the vision for PJ City FC is to work with young players and develop them into valuable talent for the Malaysian national team.
