The QI Group is proud of our employees in Malaysia who came out in large numbers over the weekend to donate blood and raise awareness about organ donation, despite the ongoing concerns around COVID-19.

For the last six years, RYTHM Foundation, our social impact initiative has marked the International Women’s Day with a blood donation and organ pledge drive. Over 100 people donated blood and 34 people signed the organ pledge during the two day campaign.

This initiative themed Save Lives – Donate Now was organized with the cooperation of the National Blood Centre and National Transplant Resource Centre in an effort to generate awareness about the importance of blood donation and to help replenish blood banks. The activity was supported by the local community and resulted in helping them better understand the importance of organ donation and turned many of them into registered donors.

QI Group Managing Director, Kuna Senathirajah, together with three other Board members –Boey Kho, Pushpam Appalanaidu and Krishna Kumar were present to thank the donors, pledgers and volunteers.  More than 100 employees of the Group volunteered their time over the weekend to assist the two-day activity held from 10am to 4pm on March 7 and 8.
