The QI Group has been a member of the World Economic Forum for over a decade. Each year, when the Forum organises its flagship Annual Meeting in Davos, a contingent from QI Group is always present to be a part of the discussions that are shaping the world around us. This year was no different as two Directors from the QI Board participated in the Annual Meeting 2024.

This year’s meeting, which brought together nearly 3,000 participants from 120 countries, delved into crucial topics such as the transformative rise of generative AI, positioning it as a rapid and impactful force in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Discussions emphasised the implications for global industries, prompting leaders to navigate unprecedented speed and accessibility, seeking effective risk management strategies in this dynamic AI landscape.

Some key takeaways from Davos that we relate to:

  1. The generative AI revolution is only just beginning.
  2. Sustainability is a business imperative.
  3. Speed is crucial to outperformance.
  4. Business leaders need to focus on matching top talent to the highest-value roles.
  5. The best CEOs leave organisations in a better place than they found them.
